The annually-produced Homeschool Connections Course Catalog was manually created for the many years since the company's establishment.  This was a labor intensive task that became increasingly burdensome (easily 200+ hours of effort annually) as the business grew with more than 41 instructors and an excess of 250 course offerings.

As the Church Militant media network grows, there was a desire to upgrade their election coverage capabilities.  In previous election years, results were tabulated by hand with colored markers on a white board. They partnered with The Software Maestro to develop the “Election Big Board”—a sophisticated, interactive display powered by real-time data.

The provided solution allowed for an easy-to-use data collection database with multiple-user support.  Using Python scripts to collect election results, SQL Server for data management, Microsoft Access for administration, and PowerPoint for dynamic visual presentation, the system delivered accurate, professional-grade visuals on a large touch-screen display.

 

This collaboration elevated the broadcast’s production value, credibility, and viewer engagement—proving that small organizations can achieve big-media results when technology and creativity align.
